62-75 of Project 365...Whew!

62/365: Rainbow Basset. Love my job!
63/365: Yum.

64/365: Finally brought my new (old) bike home. Come on warm weather!!

65/365: Took an evening walk on the Big Four Bridge. Definitely excited to do this again and again.

65/365: Warm weather = The Flea Off Market, cats in the windows, and one pooped pup.

66/365: My nanny kiddos got a new cereal...and I can eat it! :)

67/365: A sweet moment with all of my babies asleep together.
68/365: Straight hair and a newish hat.

69/365: Tacos with homemade spanish rice. (Not so) fun fact: I ate tacos 3 days in a row this week. Kind of over it (even though they were delicious).
70/365: "Rainbow Hair" (according to my kiddos). :)
71/365: Today I bought a mixer! What a sweet find from our favorite, Tickled Pink! (Yes, I've been cleaning the heck out of it to prevent any gluten issues.)

72/365: Charlie always sits on the kitchen mat when he comes in from the backyard. This was not something we taught him. He's so smart. Trying to make this "trick" work to our advantage. :)

73/365: It's almost beer making time in the Shaw house.

74/365: Spring is coming!! Arnold Palmers on the front porch and flowers in my yard. I'm a happy girl.

75/365: Making some fun changes around the house. :)
Have you ever done a 365 photo project before? I'm finding it quite difficult to keep up. My inspiration has actually taken a break from it herself. Of course, she has other blogging stuff that she's working on constantly. So, I guess it's understandable. :) Wondering though if I wanna call it quits on this or not. I enjoy sharing bits from my daily life, but I find myself pushing back other posts I want to make and then not posting at all. Decisions, decisions.

New Things

53/365: Saturday morning was very relaxing. It consisted of laying around with an adorable basset hound and enjoying a caramel latte from Heine Brothers. All in between studying, of course.

Heine Brothers always has some fun artwork hanging in a little gallery area. I love this print. It just so happens that my V-Day card from Adam (somebody blogged!!) is of the same print.54/365: On Sunday we took our pup on a drive. He gets giddy about going on car rides. It's adorable. Then, we tried a new church. Gluten Free communion? I think it could be a good fit. ;)
55/365: This amazing camera now sits on the mantel in our living room. It belonged to my great grandfather. I wish I knew more than that. It's beautiful and I'm honored to have it. I'm looking forward to learning more.

56/365: We tried a new coffee! There are so many different coffee choices around Louisville and I want to try them all. Our latest sampling came from a place called Sunergos Coffee. It did not disappoint. I'm excited to go back and try more.

Any coffee/espresso drink recommendations out there? I usually enjoy a soy caramel latte, but I'm open to trying new things. What's your favorite?

Catchin' Up

Playing a little catch up (this is what happens to those who procrastinate with grad school homework). Eeeek!

16/365: This is actually a video (yay?). It is also proof of my major procrastination problem.
This is my beloved basset hound, Charlie. Is he angry? Is he sleeping? I don't know. But, I love him dearly.

17/365: Love lunch breaks with my hubs. They make my life so much better!
18/365: Some pieces of my day yesterday. Nanny life is fun.

Also, Adam and I finally took some time last weekend to clean up our office. I had been wanting to put my new (old) sewing machine up there (finally!!!). It was nice to share the space with family and just enjoy it for a bit.
Also, I miss art. This is some of my work from high school. I thought if I displayed it on my walls I might be inspired to pick up my paintbrush once in a while.

Yesterday, when Adam and I got home from work, we discovered that Charlie had destroyed some books. I thought his choice of this particular book was ironic.
19/365: Ahh, and today. I am so ready for some hockey. The NHL has been on a lock out for almost 5 months. The puck will finally drop today. I am excited. But, not as excited as my husband. Also, we cheer for different teams, so hockey season can get kind of ugly. GO RED WINGS!

New Finds

13/365: This Sunday, Adam and I went to one of our favorite places in Lou. I discovered it by accident one day while perusing Facebook. It's called Tickled Pink Memorabilia Mall, and it is awesome. We have found so many great things for our home while browsing their shelves and rough room. From small trinkets for our guest room to retro cabinets for our living room, they have it all.

But, Sunday I was on the hunt for an adorable blender they had posted online. It had been posted for a few days, so I knew that chances were slim that I would still find it there. And, sure enough, it had sold earlier in the day. But, there was still plenty to see, so Adam and walked around the three floors they have to offer.

While in the basement, I stumbled across a cute, turquoise-colored box full of sewing supplies. I just happened to have received a sewing machine for Christmas this year and have yet to use it as I don't have any sewing materials (and it needs a minor repair). For 5 bucks I couldn't pass it up. Adam agreed it was a good deal and a nice treat for me. So, shortly after we left with my new (old) sewing kit in tow.  And, I am in love! Now my sewing machine won't be so lonely.
It came packed full of fun sewing supplies that I can't wait to use. :)
Of course, the animals couldn't resist my new purchases either. Especially Gatsby. He just had to have a closer look.
So, I couldn't leave out the rest of my babies. They get very moody about that sort of thing.

14/365: As for today, I had a relaxing day off and spent what little time I could with my handsome hubby (Mondays are hockey night).
Love this man. So, so much.
