Snowy Sunday

83/365: Woke up to this:
...and my heart melted.  And then, as we made our way downstairs, Charlie discovered it had snowed.

He loves the snow.

I can't say that I hold the same love. But, I do like seeing him so happy. Enjoy your Sunday, friends! I am excited to have some lunch with my dad today. Traveling isn't always fun (although the hubs and I are working on making it more enjoyable), but seeing family is the best. Do you have any travel tips for long drives in the car? Our usual commute is three hours, but next week we will be making a seven hour trip (14 total!). So far, we like asking each other random questions and sometimes learning something new about one another. Seven hours of questions sounds a bit more like a punishment than an enjoyable car ride. ;)

Project 365 Update (AKA Pictures Of My Dog)

76/365: Watching Adam leave on a run. :)
77/365: Went to my first book reading and met the lovely Jenny Lawson (The Bloggess)! She is absolutely hysterical (and SO kind!!).  I'm really enjoying her book, Let's Pretend This Never Happened.

78/365: My husband built this awesome hockey-gear-holder. It usually terrifies me when I go down into the basement.

79/365: I love my dog.

80/365: I love his curiosity. It's. The. Cutest.
81/365: Here's some love for the nanny-dog, too. He also melts my heart.

82/365: Listening to goofy rap music on road trips home.

I think I may be a tad obsessed with my dog.  ;) His unconditional love is the best.  I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

62-75 of Project 365...Whew!

62/365: Rainbow Basset. Love my job!
63/365: Yum.

64/365: Finally brought my new (old) bike home. Come on warm weather!!

65/365: Took an evening walk on the Big Four Bridge. Definitely excited to do this again and again.

65/365: Warm weather = The Flea Off Market, cats in the windows, and one pooped pup.

66/365: My nanny kiddos got a new cereal...and I can eat it! :)

67/365: A sweet moment with all of my babies asleep together.
68/365: Straight hair and a newish hat.

69/365: Tacos with homemade spanish rice. (Not so) fun fact: I ate tacos 3 days in a row this week. Kind of over it (even though they were delicious).
70/365: "Rainbow Hair" (according to my kiddos). :)
71/365: Today I bought a mixer! What a sweet find from our favorite, Tickled Pink! (Yes, I've been cleaning the heck out of it to prevent any gluten issues.)

72/365: Charlie always sits on the kitchen mat when he comes in from the backyard. This was not something we taught him. He's so smart. Trying to make this "trick" work to our advantage. :)

73/365: It's almost beer making time in the Shaw house.

74/365: Spring is coming!! Arnold Palmers on the front porch and flowers in my yard. I'm a happy girl.

75/365: Making some fun changes around the house. :)
Have you ever done a 365 photo project before? I'm finding it quite difficult to keep up. My inspiration has actually taken a break from it herself. Of course, she has other blogging stuff that she's working on constantly. So, I guess it's understandable. :) Wondering though if I wanna call it quits on this or not. I enjoy sharing bits from my daily life, but I find myself pushing back other posts I want to make and then not posting at all. Decisions, decisions.

Fun Around Louisville

57/365: Dreary days off and awesome Winter Wednesday concerts put on by WFPK. Check out the band here.

58/365: Nosey puppy.
59/365: Spontaneous date nights with the hubs. We had delicious tacos here. We welcomed this new store to the neighborhood (will someone please make me a replica of this AMAZING E.T.?! I need it for my collection!). Photo booth photo taken by Magnolia Photo Booth Company.

60/365: I bought a bicycle! I have been drooling over this bike for a couple of weeks and on Saturday Adam took me to Old Bikes Belong to claim it as mine. So in love! Ready for sunshine and bike rides around Cherokee Park!
61/365: I made a new friend. Meet Barney.
Now, I'm ready to enjoy a week off from grad school (read: getting a head start on assignments due next week), open our home to family and friends, and watch my husband play some hockey. What does your upcoming week look like? Have a good Monday!
