Then, this song came on Pandora while I was working. This is the song Adam used to tell me how he felt about me ( over 5 years ago!).
40/365: Saturday, we took a small trip back to our hometown to see family. I'm pretty sure I could have made it on to People of Walmart during our morning outing.
And, for some reason I ended up at Walmart multiple times that day. Which is horrible because I had ceased going to Walmart a few months ago. Hmmm. Well, at least we didn't actually make any purchases. Just played with some toys. And, again.
Then, later that night I had my first experience playing Risk. Have you ever played? I'm finding out I have a secret love of strategy games. I'm not very good at them yet (I'm team Yellow), but I really, really enjoy them.
41/365: Sunday was a great day of catching up with family and friends. I was finally able to give (and receive) a Christmas present to my nephew. He seriously lights up my life. What a sweetheart.
Then, we headed back home to Louisville. :)
42/365: Today has been calm. I worked a short shift and read some tough material for class. I'm still working on managing my time better. I'm sure it has nothing to do with this cutie.
What are your best tips for managing time? I've been trying to put the computer away as much as possible when studying. But, it's kind of difficult with online education. ;) I welcome any advice!
I love games like Risk! I haven't played in many years (I would always play against my uncles and would get whooped) but it was so fun to set it up and waste a day playing!
ReplyDeleteFor managing time, I've started to just do things right as it comes into my head, or write a list. If I think, 'I really need to hang that laundry,' I get up and do it, but if it's something longer like, 'I need to re-soil all my plants' then I put it on a list! I agree that online classes make it hard to stay away from the computer, though.
Hey Steff! I am discovering that I love games like Risk, too! I am still very surprised with just how much I enjoy them. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I remember to write lists, they are usually helpful. I think I may need to tell myself I need to spend X amount of time doing this activity, etc. A daily schedule, perhaps. Maybe it's my teaching background (where my entire day was scheduled) that leaves me feeling a little lost and disorganized when learning from home. Haha.
